I was in Macys in Manhattan about a year ago. But if your just creating a par 5 interior for the sake of having the most expansive product offering. Now if you're going to have interactive displays (Costco samples) or training areas on the products and create an experience by all means keep the SF. taking a 100k sf store and dropping merchandise that doesn't sell or even reducing the amount you do sell, will help lower your overall real estate budget. If I can use a Driver to hit a golf ball from one side to the other inside of a store, to me that is too big and you have too much potential loss.
